The authors (Steven Levitsky and Glen Weil), like many other anti-Semites, are more invested in "loving" Israel to death than dealing with the real situation there. They may love Israel, but they love their PC and leftist position more.

Historically, there was no "occupation" by Israel in 48, 56 and 67 where the Arab states attacked it for being a western enclave in their UMA. So the claim that the attempts to annihilate the state that are continuing are based on occupation is clearly unsupported by the evidence.

So is the fact that the Oslo agreement has been a failure because repeated refusals by the PLO to accept peace agreements with Israel creating a Palestinian state with a less than 2% change in territories, and even with the inclusion of part of Jerusalem in the deal.

So the dance continues, “Palestinians” use the political power of the Moslem Billions to sabotage Israel in the world community.  The tomb of Joseph has just been declared an Arab Holy Site, Bethlehem has not because there are Billions of Christians who would oppose it. Archeology on the Temple mound consists of going through garbage bins where the Waqf throw out Jewish Antiquities so as to deny our past from us and future generations of Jews. And Jews are not permitted to pray on their holiest ground, the location of the First and Second Temple.

In this latest round of violence, the PLO and Hamas has provided guidelines to kill any Jews, but to be sure they are Jews, pick on the orthodox who wear recognizable garb, or IDF soldiers who are in uniform. So now whenever a Jew is approached by someone he doesn’t know, it is possible he can be attacked with a knife, or a gun. 

Jews continue to live their lives, mostly in peace, and respond with controlled violence (and in very few instances uncontrolled anger) as their brothers are sisters are attacked on their street, just because they are Jews.

Here the authors add their 2 cents by saying, with typical self-hatred. It is the Jews’ Fault.
