Daily Roundup - 3/2/2016 - Why Trump's diatribes work

If you look carefully at his diatribe, they are a mixture of bravado, and insults that bring out an aspect of his opponent he wishes to point out.  In the case of Rubio, it was “he is not up to the task,” hence he stressed his sweating under pressure, his involuntary repetition of a refrain when pressed.  Had he simply analyzed this, no one would have paid attention. By doing it the way he did, he had the press talking about it for a week.

Rubio, on the other hand, was just obnoxious. Trumps ability as a president is not determined by penile length, and the accusation that he is a con-man implies he doesn’t provide a product, just a lie, and that is also patently false.

So Rubio insults and lies, Trump criticizes and exaggerates. Who does a better job?
