WAPO: Austrias narrow election is a warning signal to all--Carl Bildt-

This article forgets Kurt Waldheim. Austria has always had neo-Nazi tendencies. The advent of Muslim immigration which is both unwelcome and seen as a threat increases these tendencies.
The author is right when he states:
Karl Popper noted that it was the development of communications and commerce that caused the breakdown of the closed societies of the ancient world, and in an echo of this we see these new political forces rally strongly against immigrants and trade agreements.

But Popper did not foresee that communication improvements could also lead to populist neo-Nazi takeovers.

As the Muslim expansion into Europe continues, we can expect more and more violent responses against them throughout Europe.

JewishJournal: Jewish leaders express concern over proposed changes to Dem platform on Israel -- Jacob Kornbluh

Let's be a bit more balanced! Like Bernie!
Those who love Israel, and have rationally viewed the news for years, know that Obama, Hilary, and the Democratic Party are for Bernie's "balanced" approach.
Those who have rationally viewed the pronouncements of the candidates know Trump is deeply committed to Israel.
DON'T EXPRESS CONCERNS. SUPPORT TRUMP.

WAPO: Trump, Demagogue the founders feared. by Michael Gerson

"As the unthinkable becomes likely, the question arises: Who is really to blame for Donald Trump?"

Interesting anti-democratic position: "As voters make their choices, and the elite doesn't like it, who is to blame?"  What is the  universe of discourse of Gerson in "who is really to blame"

"The proximate answer is a durable plurality in the Republican primary electorate, concentrated among non-college-educated whites but not limited to them."

In other words: Voters, who are described as stupid whites, and a few others (I assume me!) is the universe that got it wrong, and only the whites got it right. The post voting interviews shows that Trump wins across all populations, women, men, even blacks and latinos in places.  I haven't really looked at those statistics in detail, but that is what I heard. In any case, I believe with over a decade of college education I am the only one supporting Trump, except my brother does too?

This minute differentiation between groups of voters might be good to plot incoherent strategy, and is used by the pundits for incoherent remarks. It just riles me up for its stupidity and its contempt of the voter.

Anne Frank and her family were also denied entry as refugees to the U.S.

The following is my response to the  Washington Post 11/24/2015 article "Anne Frank and her family were also denied entry as refugees to the U.S." Which is a tear jerking left wing attempt to paint all those who are careful with immigrants as heartless monsters uncaring about human life.
The only parallel between the US actions in WWII and todays actions in Syria are that in both occasions the US refused to use force to safeguard oppressed and endangered people. Eisenhower refused to bomb the train tracks leading to Auschwitz, even though bombs were available, and he was made aware of the plight of the Jews. Obama refuses to create a safe no-fly zone in Syria, even though this would not be difficult to do, or require ground troops.

Jews, in WWII time frame did not have a fanatic subgroup thirsting for German blood, they did not engage in terrorism, they were lambs led to the slaughter. Syrians do have such a subgroup. Its called Al Qaeda, ISIS, etc. and just a few errors can cause hundreds of dead to this country. 9 killed 3K civilians in the US, 8 killed over 100 in France and 1 or 2 caused Belgium to close down for 5 days. How much collateral damage do we need to accept to be "humanitarian" instead of creating a safe zone in Syria? How much collateral damage do the poor civilians of Syria accept before Assad, who has killed over 300K of them, and displace over 2 million is overthrown?
